Praying the month of October

James 5:16

The Message (MSG)
16-18 Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. Elijah, for instance, human just like us, prayed hard that it wouldn’t rain, and it didn’t—not a drop for three and a half years. Then he prayed that it would rain, and it did. The showers came and everything started growing again.

So, we are fast approaching the month of November- one of the most heated elections that has occurred in my lifetime- possibly ever (but that would be a huge statement so I am not going to just jump out and say that:).  We have tragedy occurring in our schools, churches and communities on an every day, sometimes every moment, basis.  We have the unimaginable happening in nations all over the globe- it becomes quite daunting to look at the news and see all the bad that is happening.

While I hear everything that is going on I immediately think of my children and what they will face in the coming years.  I think of the families and individuals that are being effected by all of the chaos that is going on around them.

As a daughter of God and a mother of three I feel that I have come face to face with the reality of what God has called me to do while looking the madness head on.  I-we- are called to pray.  I posted a quote last week from Bill Johnson's book called "Release the Power of Jesus".  He wrote something like "faith requires action."  He goes on to say the action could be a mere utterance of a prayer... This is where I am right now.

I would like to invite you to join me during the month of October to storm the gates of heaven and believe for revival to break out in the hearts of Christians.  I believe when this happens, when we experience and truly being to live a life of revival, circumstances will change- chains will be broken and we will begin to see God move in an incredible way.

Bill Johnson writes in his book, "In revival, the out pouring of the holy spirit brings an invasion of the presence of the king of Heaven which displaces the prince of darkness.  The result of this displacement is that people experience the life and power of the Kingdom.  Bodies are healed, souls are delivered and saved, believers grow in unity and ultimately, society and the earth are transformed."  He goes on to write, "true revival is an outpouring of the Spirit that brings the Kingdom until there is transformation unto reformation.  Revival is meant to be sustained through the generations, until the knowledge of the glory of God covers the earth as the water cover the sea (Hab 2:14)."

Each day we can pray together in agreement for one specific thing- I will post the prayer request on facebook each day with scriptures to pray and study along with it. If you have a prayer on your heart that day please post it and let us join together, storm the gates of heaven and believe for change and for God to move in our country which will in turn cause the nations to feel a mighty spiritual impact!

Excited to start this prayer journey with my family and I pray that you join us as we believe for revival!!!!

Mommy Moment Warning = I just had to post pictures of three of the many reasons I want to see God move in this nation......
